Kumaon
Trekking in Kumaon can be undertaken all the year round, with
traditionally popular periods being April-June and September-November,
just because of the vastness of the terrain and altitude differences. In
the valleys and forests of Kumaon, mountaineering expeditions can still be
organized. The main hill resort of Kumaon is Nanital. The essential
equipment is easily available on rent at the individual basis.
