Book Launch – On National Librarians’ Day,

KOa On the occasion of the 132nd birth anniversary of Dr. S. R. Ranaganathan, the father of library science in India, a book launch event was held on August 12, 2024, to celebrate National Librarians Day. The event took place at the Directorate of Language and Library Department, Jaipur, where Dr. Deepak Kumar Shrivastava’s book, "From Chaos to Clarity - A Practical Approach to Information Management," was released. The launch was conducted by Dr. Mridula Chaturvedi, Officer on Special Duty (OSD), Language and Library Department, Dr. Renuka Rathore Deputy Director (Translation) Language and Library Department and Sandeep Yadav, Deputy Director, Language and Library Department Government of Rajasthan Jaipur.

The event was also attended by Pawan Pareek, Divisional Library Head of Maharaja Government Public Library, Jaipur; Kailash Rao, District Library Head of Government Public District Library, Ramganjmandi, Kota and Rameshwar Sharma, Junior Assistant at Government Public Library, Bara.

Published by Anecdote Publishing House, Delhi, this 162-page book, priced at Rs. 299, presents a practical perspective on information management for working library professionals. Dr. Deepak explained that the book, consisting of 13 chapters, primarily addresses the challenges faced by library professionals in information management and explores potential solutions and future prospects. The inclusion of case studies aims to provide authenticity and credibility to the content of the book.
