Udaipur. Sun College, affiliated with Sukhadia University, will host this year's Inter-College Badminton Tournament (Men's and Women's categories). The college's director, Arun Mandot, informed that the tournament will kick off on September 18 at 10 AM at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Multipurpose Hall in the MB Sports Complex. The inauguration ceremony will feature Sukhadia University's Dean of Student Welfare, Prof. Shurveer Singh Bhanawat, Sports Board President Prof. Neeraj Sharma, international badminton player Mr. Vikramaditya Chaufla, and University Sports Board Secretary Dr. Bheemraj Patel as chief guests.
The organizing chairperson, Principal Dr. Preeti Dhuppar, shared that students from all colleges affiliated with Sukhadia University will participate in this two-day event. The winning teams will be awarded, along with the best male and female players. The tournament's organizing secretary, Dr. Shubha Surana, mentioned that each college's men's team will have a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 7 participants, while the women's team will have a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 participants. The winning team will be selected based on the university sports board's regulations. Applications for the tournament are open until September 16.
The closing ceremony will take place on September 19 at 3 PM, with the prize distribution ceremony featuring guests such as District Sports Officer Dr. Mahesh Paliwal, University Yoga Center Coordinator Dr. Dipendra Singh Chauhan, and Assistant Director of Physical Education Dr. Hemraj Chaudhary. The event will be supported by Akash Mehta, Kirti Samota, Meghraj Salvi, Prachi Mehta, and others.
