: The Udaipur Skandh Executive Committee held its second quarterly meeting for the year 2024-25 on Sunday. The committee discussed significant upcoming heritage-related events scheduled for the October to November quarter. Decisions were made to organize the Third Biodiversity Day on 6th October, United Nations Day on 24th of October, and Heritage Week from 19th to 25th November on a large scale.

Skandh Convener Prof. Lalit Pandey, Co-conveners Gaurav Singhvi and Prof. Vinod Agarwal, along with Satish Shrimali, Rahul Bhatnagar, Dr. Mangi Lal Nagda, Dr. Sunil Vashishtha, and Sanjeev Bhardwaj, were present at the meeting. It is noteworthy that Mewar-Udaipur is immensely rich in terms of geo-heritage and holds significant tourism potential. Similarly, this southern region of Rajasthan is a treasure trove of tangible, intangible, and natural heritage.

During the meeting, it was decided that this year's Heritage Week will feature events such as heritage walks and other activities to foster a sense of pride and belonging, particularly among the youth and teenagers, towards the region's heritage. These efforts aim to enhance the city's global influence in a more impactful manner. The committee also highlighted that Udaipur Skandh is currently working on heritage-related activities through youth heritage clubs in 19 schools across the region.
