### Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati's Contributions to Eradicating Untouchability

**Udaipur:** National Scheduled Castes Commission Chairman, Mr. Kishore Makwana, highlighted the significant contributions of Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati in eradicating untouchability. He noted that during an era when untouchability was rampant in the country, Maharishi Dayanand undertook numerous initiatives to combat this social evil. Mr. Makwana shared these views during his visit to the Navlakha Mahal Cultural Center at Gulab Bagh in Udaipur.

Upon his arrival at Navlakha Mahal, Mr. Makwana was warmly welcomed by the Trust's President, Mr. Ashok Arya, and Public Relations Secretary, Mr. Vinod Rathore, who honored him with a turban and shawl. Following this, Mr. Makwana toured various projects within the Navlakha Mahal, including the Aryavarta Art Gallery, the Sixteen Sacraments Gallery, the National Hero Gallery, the Deendayal Suresh Chandra Arya Multimedia Center, and the Yagyashala. Mr. Ashok Arya provided detailed information about each project.

After visiting the various projects at the Navlakha Mahal Cultural Center, Mr. Makwana expressed his privilege and joy at seeing the place where Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati composed his immortal work, *Satyarth Prakash*. He stated that the projects developed at this sacred site are indeed inspiring for both domestic and international tourists, and help in propagating the teachings of *Satyarth Prakash*.

Present at the occasion were Mr. Ravindra Rathore from Navlakha Mahal Cultural Center Youth Club, Trustee Priest Mr. Navneet Arya, Office Minister Mr. Bhawar Lal Garg, guide Mr. Lokesh, Mrs. Durga, Mr. Ramesh Paliwal, Mr. Devilal, and several Trust workers.
