District-Level Cultural Festival and Art Fair Concludes

Under the auspices of Vidya Niketan Girls' Higher Secondary School, Bharat Nagar, the district-level cultural festival and art fair competition organized by Vidya Bharati, Banswara district, took place at the Vidya Niketan Higher Secondary School Mandarshwar campus. Students from 15 schools, representing five clusters of the district's Vidya Bharati institutions, showcased their exceptional talents in various arts. The event featured competitions in storytelling, extempore speech, light music, poetry recitation, sculpture art, Antakshari, and folk dance.

In the storytelling and extempore speech categories for the junior group, Bado Diya and Mandarshwar clusters secured the first and second positions, respectively. In light music, the Partapur cluster won first place. The Partapur and Mandarshwar clusters also claimed first place in poetry recitation for the junior and senior groups, respectively. Mandarshwar and Partapur clusters shared first place in sculpture art. In Antakshari and folk dance, Bado Diya, Partapur, and Mandarshwar clusters secured first positions. All first-place winners will represent the district at the state-level competition to be held in Jhalawar in the coming days.

The judges for poetry recitation were renowned writer Shri Suryakaran Saroj and stage artist/writer Smt. Deepika Dixit. The light music competition was judged by classical music practitioners Shri Sandeep Pandya and Shri Hitendra Acharya. The storytelling and extempore speech categories were judged by retired principal Shri Shiv Shankar Vaishnav and retired lecturer Shri Rakesh Bhatt. Folk dance was judged by Prerna Upadhyay, a noted All India Radio artist and folk art expert, alongside Pushpa Seni and Sunita Sharma. The sculpture competition was evaluated by Neeta Bhavsar, and the Antakshari competition took place under the guidance of Shri Ganesh and Shri Shivgiri Goswami.

The closing session featured prize distribution to the participants by Shri Navneet Shukla, Minister of Vidya Bharati Banswara District, and Shri Lalit Dave, Secretary, along with the head of the Jeev Daya Institute. Their encouragement and appreciation uplifted the spirits of the participants.

The guests were welcomed and introduced by Mrs. Mamta Adhikari, Principal of the Girls’ School, and Mr. Govind Singh Rao, Principal of Mandarshwar School. The competitions were successfully organized under the leadership of Shri Satish Acharya as the event coordinator. The vote of thanks was given by Mr. Govind Singh Rao.
