Banswara,The residents of Banswara have expressed growing frustration over the prolonged inaction and pending works within the Banswara Municipal Council. In response, a memorandum has been sent to the Chief Minister, demanding immediate intervention and concrete steps to resolve the issues.
According to the memorandum submitted by local citizens, a large number of files—related to approvals and other matters—have remained unresolved for an extended period. The lack of progress has severely impacted civic functioning, leaving people distressed.
It is alleged that the current Commissioner of the Municipal Council, recently appointed, has shown little interest in serving in Banswara. As a result, he is reportedly neither signing important files nor issuing approvals, leading to a growing backlog of pending work.
The citizens have further claimed that local leaders of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party have remained silent on the issue, while the district administration and Municipal Council administrators appear powerless to act. The situation has led to mounting anger among the residents.
The memorandum calls for the Chief Minister’s direct intervention, demanding the suspension of the current Commissioner due to his negligence and the immediate appointment of a proactive replacement to ensure the smooth functioning of the Municipal Council.
