Bhilwara, an industrial hub known as the "City of Textiles," is divided by a railway line. The western part, which includes residential areas and industrial units, is rich in mining and agriculture. Key locations in this region include Pur, home to the ancient Hanuman Ji Temple, Adharshila, Patola Mahadev, and Jindal Saw Ltd. The local population, consisting mainly of low and middle-income families, relies on agriculture and animal husbandry. Daily laborers from this area travel to the city’s factories for work, often having to travel long distances to Mahatma Gandhi Hospital in central Bhilwara for medical facilities.
Honorable Deputy Chief Minister (Finance) Smt. Diya Kumari announced in the budget that an Ayushman Model CHC would be established in each assembly constituency. In response, MLA Ashok Ji Kothari promptly identified a 2.5 bigha plot near Janata Clinic in Pur for the new community health center. This 30-bed facility will feature a model and state-of-the-art community health center, staffed with 6 specialist doctors, 18 nursing staff, 2 lab technicians, 3 pharmacists, and other employees. It will provide comprehensive medical services, including allopathic consultations, medicines, diagnostics, ultrasound, X-rays, deliveries, and surgeries, within one complex. This will prioritize medical facilities for residents of nearby villages and colonies, reducing their need to travel to Mahatma Gandhi Hospital in the city center.
Additionally, under Prime Minister Modi's vision of promoting Ayurvedic medicine, MLA Shri Kothari requested the modernization and renovation of Ayurvedic dispensaries in Pur and Sanganer from Honorable Deputy Chief Minister (Ayush) Dr. Premchand Ji Bairwa. The Rajasthan government has assured the commencement of this work, ensuring that these areas will no longer lack medical facilities.
