SBI Green Marathon Takes Jaipur to New Heights with Mirchi Season 5

Jaipur : This city, rooted in tradition and culture, is now ready to go beyond the finish line – with SBI Green Marathon, in association with Mirchi Season 5. The primary goal of this marathon was to promote sustainability, and it was a resounding success.

SBI Green Marathon and Mirchi have always championed a sustainable lifestyle, and this was evident throughout the event – from organic t-shirts for all runners to plantable bibs, and ground activities designed for maximum recycling.

The stunning marathon took place at the picturesque Suraj Maidan, known for its beautiful sunrise and sunset views. The right location plays a key role in the success of an event, and this open, breezy, and easily accessible venue attracted 4000 runners, all ready to go beyond the finish line.

The marathon featured three running categories – 5 kilometers, 10 kilometers, and 21 kilometers, ensuring a suitable route for runners of all levels. Certified by AIMS (Association of International Marathons and Distance Races), this marathon also gave runners an opportunity to showcase their talent on an international stage.

The event saw the presence of distinguished officials from the State Bank of India, including Mr. Sandeep Bhatnagar (Chief General Manager), Mr. Ritu Goud (General Manager, Network-1), Mr. Madan L.S. (General Manager, Network-2), Mr. Prabuddh Kumar (General Manager, Network-3), Mr. Indranil Bhansha (General Manager), and Mr. Kalyan Gajaveli (Deputy General Manager & COD), who flagged off the marathon for all three categories. This shows how SBI continues to inspire its customers and employees to embrace sustainability.

Mirchi Jaipur’s RJs Aadi and Jeet kept the participants entertained throughout the event, engaging with both runners and SBI representatives to hear about their experiences.

A special highlight of the Jaipur edition was the participation of esteemed organizations like NCC, CIFS, Defense Department, North Western Railway, Indian Air Force, and Indian Army. Their involvement not only filled us with pride but also highlighted the significance of the event and the commitment of the runners. In addition, six special cycling marshals led the race, motivating runners to maintain and accelerate their pace.

To ensure that runners received proper guidance and inspiration, experienced runners like Dr. Namit Sharma, Himanshu Chhabra, Prem Jogpal, Rachika Goyal, Vipin Mann, Vikas Didwania, and Vishnu Tak joined the event. Under SBI Green Marathon and Mirchi Season 5, everyone – from beginners to seasoned athletes – ran with a shared goal for a greener future.

Scrap took charge of waste management during the event, efficiently collecting all generated waste for recycling.
