Jaisalmer, Following directions from the state government and the Local Self-Government Department, Jaipur, the "Chief Minister Sadbhavana Center Scheme" has been implemented at the level of all urban bodies. The initiative aims to collect items such as clothes, shoes, books, toys, furniture, and electronic goods from citizens, institutions, and commercial enterprises as donations and distribute them free of cost to the needy for reuse.
As part of this scheme, the Municipal Council of Jaisalmer officially inaugurated the "Chief Minister Sadbhavana Center" near Malka Prol on Friday. The center was inaugurated by Commissioner Shri Lajpal Singh, who stated that the initiative aligns with the state government's vision and the Local Self-Government Department's guidance to promote social harmony. He emphasized that the center will act as a hub for collecting donated items and redistributing them to those in need.
Key Benefits Highlighted:
Assistant Engineer SWM, Smt. Reshu Singh, explained that the center promotes environmental conservation by enabling the reuse of unused items while simultaneously meeting the essential needs of the underprivileged.
During the inaugural event, donations of seasonal clothing, blankets, coats, and other items were received from notable contributors like Jaswant Singh Rajpurohit of Shri Ji Excellency Restaurant and social worker Arjun Bhansali. These items were distributed to the needy present at the event by the Commissioner. Special assistance was also provided by Shri Manoj Kumar and the Sulabh International team.
Call for Donations:
Commissioner Lajpal Singh appealed to citizens, institutions, and commercial enterprises to generously donate reusable items such as clothes, shoes, books, toys, furniture, and electronic goods to the Chief Minister Sadbhavana Center to extend support to the needy.
