Udaipur MP Recommends ₹1 Lakh Worth Books for 18 Colleges

Udaipur, In a pioneering move to support higher education in Rajasthan, Udaipur MP Dr. Mannalal Rawat has initiated the distribution of books worth ₹1 lakh each to 18 government colleges in the Udaipur parliamentary constituency. This initiative is being carried out under the Member of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS).

Dr. Rawat stated that many colleges lack access to basic course textbooks, which directly affects students' academic progress. Recognizing this gap, he recommended the establishment of Youth Resource Centres in all government colleges across the constituency and provision of books especially useful for competitive exam preparation—particularly benefiting students from tribal regions.

The colleges benefiting from this initiative include:

Government College, Dhariyawad

Government PG College, Pratapgarh

Government College, Sarada

Government College, Semari

Hadarani Government PG College, Salumber

Government College, Lasadia

Government Girls College, Kherwada
