GMCH :Radiology Day Celebrated

 on November 8, World Radiology Day is being celebrated globally. This day highlights the importance of radiology and imaging technology, aiming to raise awareness among people. It commemorates the discovery of X-rays by Dr. Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen in 1895, a breakthrough that transformed the medical field. This year’s theme for World Radiology Day is *Radiographers: Seeing the Unseen*.

In today’s healthcare landscape, radiology plays a crucial role not only in disease diagnosis but also in effective treatment. Technologies such as X-rays, CT scans, MRI, and ultrasound facilitate diagnosis and treatment, saving millions of lives worldwide.

Geetanjali Hospital’s Radiology Department marked the occasion with a special event attended by Geetanjali Hospital’s CEO Mr. Rishi Kapoor, Medical Superintendent Dr. Harpreet Singh, Head of the Radiology Department Dr. Ravindra Kundu, and staff from other departments.
