Successful Treatment of a Severe Stroke Patient at GMCH

Dr. Nishant Ashwani explained that the patient had suffered a stroke two years ago and had subsequently stopped taking his medication. In November 2023, the patient experienced another stroke and was brought to Geetanjali Hospital's emergency department in an unconscious state, complaining of severe headache, dizziness, and vomiting. Given the patient’s critical condition, he was immediately admitted to the ICU. An MRI confirmed the occurrence of a stroke, primarily affecting the posterior part of the brain, which also impaired his vision. After four days, the patient was shifted from the ICU to a regular ward. He is now healthy, leading a normal life, and regularly visiting the hospital for consultations.
