### Director Sanoj Mishra Appeals to CM Yogi Adityanath for Security After Attack

Director Sanoj Mishra, who faced a deadly attack due to his film *The Diary of West Bengal*, recently met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on October 9 in Lucknow. Mishra discussed the challenges he faced while making the film, which is based on real events. Despite threats from the West Bengal government, police, and antisocial elements, he completed the film. During the meeting, former MLC and BJP National Executive Member Raja Rakesh Pratap Singh, who hails from Mishra's hometown Shivgarh in Raebareli, was also present.

Mishra revealed how Wasim Rizvi, the film's producer, allegedly plotted to have him killed in West Bengal to take over the project. Rizvi, who had converted to Hinduism and renamed himself Jitendra Narayan Tyagi, sought fame and political advantage. Mishra claimed that Rizvi's conspiracy failed, but he had to go into hiding for several days at Assi Ghat in Varanasi. Thanks to the support of UP police and actress Kangana Ranaut, he was rescued and admitted to a hospital in Lucknow.

During his discussion with CM Yogi, Mishra detailed the hardship he endured and the threats he received from Rizvi. Despite the overwhelming challenges, Mishra successfully brought *The Diary of West Bengal* to audiences, where it was praised for its bold portrayal of sensitive issues. After the meeting, CM Yogi assured him full protection and justice, leaving Mishra feeling relieved and confident in the state's judicial system.
