Udaipur: The Rajasthan government has approved the proposal to establish a film city in the state to boost the tourism and cinema industries. Mukesh Madhwani, a line producer in Udaipur who has been advocating for a film city, had suggested this to Tourism Commissioner Vijaypal Singh as part of the draft of the Rajasthan Tourism Unit Policy 2024.
Pleased with the government's decision, Madhwani has sent a letter of gratitude to Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma. In his letter, Madhwani praised the Chief Minister's visionary leadership and stated that this decision will not only elevate Udaipur but also the entire Rajasthan's tourism and cinema industry.
Madhwani believes that the inclusion of a film city in Rajasthan's tourism policy will give the state's tourism a global platform. The establishment of a film city will create local employment opportunities and boost the film industry in Rajasthan. He stated that this historic initiative will make Rajasthan a center for tourism and filmmaking in the country. This project will also contribute to strengthening the state's economy.
