### Udaipur Administration on High Alert to Prevent Seasonal Diseases

Udaipur, In anticipation of potential seasonal disease outbreaks during the monsoon season, the district administration has heightened its alert status. District Collector Arvind Poswal instructed the medical department officials on Friday to accelerate anti-larva activities and raise public awareness. Subdivision officers were also directed to monitor these efforts closely.

In line with these instructions, Girwa SDM Riya Dabi conducted an inspection of anti-larva activities in sensitive areas of the city. CMO Dr. Shankar H. Bamaniya reported that SDM Dabi, accompanied by Deputy CMO Dr. Ankit Jain, UPM Vaibhav Saroha, and the IDSP team, visited the Jagdish Chowk area to inspect households, interact with dengue patients, and educate residents on prevention. They physically verified source reduction, anti-larva, and anti-adult activities, and issued directives for increased IEC-based public awareness campaigns.

### Key Recommendations for Residents

During the inspection, SDM Dabi and the medical team urged residents to prevent water accumulation around homes. Recommendations included:

- Regularly emptying and drying water tanks, coolers, and containers before reuse.
- Removing water from pots, planters, and other items.
- Emptying refrigerator trays and clearing old tires or any items that collect water.
- Cleaning and changing water in animal troughs daily.

Medical teams were instructed to spray burnt oil in drains and areas where water collects. Dr. Ankit Jain mandated that health workers log daily activities on the ODK app and report to higher authorities. Residents were advised to report any deficiencies via the Marudhara app.
