Udaipur, Renowned author Dr. Rajendra Prakash Bhatnagar was not only an eminent scholar of Mewar's history, but he was also a leading figure in Ayurveda medicine and research throughout India. Dr. Bhatnagar authored numerous works on Ayurveda and history that continue to benefit researchers today.
These thoughts were expressed by Dr. Kanak Prasad Vyas, former Director of the Rajasthan Government's Ayurveda Department while addressing the gathering as the chief guest at the "Dr. Rajendra Prakash Bhatnagar Ayurveda Ratna Award" ceremony. The Ayurveda Sahyog Samiti and the Indian Medical Development Council at the Vaidyaraj Bhawani Shankar Ayurveda Trust organized the event. Dr. Vyas praised the notable contributions of awardees Dr. Shobhalal Aditya and Dr. Jayant Kumar Vyas to the field of Ayurveda, declaring them the true deserving recipients of the prestigious Dr. Bhatnagar Ayurveda Ratna Award.
Presiding over the ceremony, Dr. Babushankar Ameta, former Additional Director of the Ayurveda Department, Rajasthan, and Chairman of the Ayurveda Sahyog Samiti, described Dr. Rajendra Prakash Bhatnagar’s life and work as inspirational.
Special guest Dr. Rajeev Bhatt, Additional Director of the Ayurveda Department for Udaipur Division, praised the selfless medical services provided by Dr. Shobhalal Auditya and Kshar Sutra specialist Dr. Jayant Kumar Vyas, stating that their work is exemplary for future generations.
Honored guest and former Additional Director Dr. Babulal Jain highlighted the life story of Dr. Rajendra Prakash Bhatnagar and emphasized the significance of the Ayurveda Ratna Award.
While expressing his gratitude, Dr. Shobhalal Auditya, in charge of the Government Model Ayurveda Dispensary in Sindhi Bazaar, advised the public to embrace Ayurveda for a healthier lifestyle. Kshar Sutra specialist Dr. Jayant Kumar Vyas shared that the selfless treatment and surgeries for piles bring immense personal satisfaction to him as a healer.
Dr. Dilkhush Seth, Secretary of Vaidyaraj Bhawani Shankar Ayurveda Trust, Dr. Lakshmikant Acharya, Assistant Director of Udaipur Division Dr. Bhupendra Kumar Sharma, and Dr. Nandram Trivedi also shared their thoughts during the event.
Dr. Priyanka Jain and Dr. Rekha Gautam read the award citation for the Dr. Bhatnagar Ayurveda Ratna Award. The honorees, Dr. Shobhalal Auditya and Dr. Jayant Kumar Vyas, were presented with traditional Mewari turbans, shawls, floral garlands, commendation letters, and mementos as they were conferred the prestigious Dr. Bhatnagar Ayurveda Ratna Award.
