Heart Specialist Summit 2024 in Lake City

**Udaipur:** Known as a medical hub alongside being a tourist city, Udaipur continues to embrace advanced techniques for treating patients. Even complex heart conditions are being managed with modern treatments. The Seventh Cardiac Summit, focusing on the use and benefits of cutting-edge technologies in cardiac care, will be held on August 3-4. The event is organized under the joint auspices of the Heart and Rhythm Society, API Udaipur, Paras Health, and IMA Udaipur.

Dr. Amit Khandelwal, the event chairman, shared that this year's summit theme is "Innovations in Cardiology: Enhancing Patient Care and Outcomes." Cardiology experts from various parts of the country will discuss the topic. The conference will review the success of traditional and innovative techniques based on case studies. Physicians who have made significant contributions in the medical field will also be honored.

To engage and raise awareness among the public, a special Zumba session titled "Dil Ki Baat Dil Se" will be held at Fatehsagar on August 4. This session aims to educate people on maintaining heart and overall health through exercise. In the CPR session, experts will provide life-saving tips. Motivational speakers Dr. Mohit Gupta, Dr. Amit Khandelwal, and Dr. Deepesh Agrawal will share simple tips to combat heart diseases and other health issues.

Dr. Amit Khandelwal mentioned that over 100 cardiologists from various parts of India have registered for this annual summit. The first day of the conference will start with an ECG quiz, followed by a discussion on "Hypertension in 2024" by Dr. Vivek Mathur from Ajmer. Dr. S.K. Kaushik from Udaipur will talk about the role of multimarkers in coronary syndromes. Dr. Suresh Vijan from Mumbai will discuss lipidology for cholesterol studies. Sessions on ischemic heart disease will be conducted by Dr. Rahul Choudhary from Jodhpur, Dr. Anil Dhal from New Delhi, Dr. Subhash Chandra, and Dr. Rishi Sethi from Lucknow.

Dr. Amit added that there will be discussions on atrial fibrillation management by Dr. Kush Bhagat from Jaipur and the future impact of novel oral anticoagulants by Dr. Arun Kochar from Mohali. Heart failure management in Indian clinical settings will be discussed by Dr. Amit and Dr. Jayesh Khandelwal, with perspectives from Dr. J.S. Makkar from Jaipur, Dr. Adil Sadik from Bengaluru, Dr. Prashant Rajput from Mumbai, and Dr. T.S. Kler from New Delhi. Dr. Subhash Chandra from New Delhi will talk about the use of TAVI in structural heart diseases, while Dr. Amit Khandelwal will address the increasing trend of CAD among the youth.

On the second day, topics such as DVT and pulmonary thromboembolism will be covered by Dr. Amit Gupta from Jaipur. Discussions on diabetes and heart diseases will be led by Dr. Deepak Khandelwal from New Delhi and Praveen Kahale. The session on ischemic heart disease Part B will include Dr. Sandeep Mishra, Dr. Sanjeev Gupta, and Dr. Ruchi Gupta from Jaipur. Padma Shri Dr. D.S. Gambhir from Noida will discuss complex coronary interventions, and Dr. Mohit Gupta from New Delhi will speak on preventive cardiology.

The summit will conclude with an echocardiography workshop, featuring case presentations by Dr. Pawan Ola, Dr. Sunil Mittal, Dr. Ramesh Patel, and Dr. Danny Mangalani from Udaipur. The panel discussion on cardio-obstructive topics will be moderated by Dr. Amit Khandelwal and Dr. Monika Sharma, with panelists Dr. Rajrani Sharma, Dr. Kaushal Chundawat, Dr. Sudha Gandhi, Dr. S.K. Kaushik, Dr. Sanjeev Gupta, and Dr. Deepesh Agrawal.
