### 49th Mine Safety Week 2025: First Annual General Body Meeting Concludes

 

Udaipur: Under the aegis of the Directorate General of Mines Safety (Udaipur Region), the Mine Safety Association, Udaipur Region, successfully conducted the first Annual General Body Meeting for the 49th Mine Safety Week 2025 at Zawar Mines. The meeting focused on prioritizing mine safety, occupational health, increasing participation of unorganized mines, and promoting women’s empowerment in the mining sector.

The meeting was presided over by Mr. B. Dayasagar, Director – Mine Safety, Udaipur Region, along with Mr. Vishal Goyal, Deputy Director – Mine Safety, Mr. Ram Murari, IBU Head, Zawar Mines, Hindustan Zinc Limited, and various mine owners, agents, managers, and senior officials. A total of 55 participants attended the session.

The agenda for Mine Safety Week 2025 was finalized, with the flag-off ceremony scheduled for November 2025, followed by mine inspections, trade tests, and first-aid competitions. The concluding ceremony will be held in December 2025.

Representatives from Udaipur Cement Ltd., J.K. Cement Works, India Cement, Aditya Cement, Wonder Cement, UltraTech, Rajasthan State Mines & Minerals Ltd., R.K. Marble, Wolkem Industries, Krishna Miners & Traders, Sindesar Khurd Mines, and several other mining companies participated in the event.

At the end of the meeting, Mr. Ram Murari expressed gratitude to all participants, emphasizing that safe and organized mining is the key to sustainable development.
