Hindustan Zinc has launched the inaugural Vedanta Zinc City Half Marathon, scheduled for September 29, 2024, in Udaipur. The event aims to raise awareness about rural malnutrition through its #RunForZeroHunger campaign. The launch ceremony, attended by Udaipur’s District Collector Shri Arvind Poswal, Inspector General Shri Ajay Pal Lamba, and Hindustan Zinc CEO Shri Arun Misra, unveiled the official race poster and jersey.
Recognized by the Association of International Marathons (AIMS), the marathon features Udaipur’s iconic landmarks and scenic routes. Categories include the half marathon (21 km), Cool Run (10 km), and Dream Run (5 km). Hindustan Zinc CEO expressed excitement, emphasizing the marathon’s role in uniting people for a noble cause while promoting fitness.
