### National Stability Requires Unity Among All Communities – Padma Vibhushan Dr. Karan Singh

Udaipur, March 26 – Former Maharaja of Jammu & Kashmir, Padma Vibhushan Dr. Karan Singh, emphasized that education should not be limited to intellectual and physical development but should also strengthen inner capabilities. He stressed the need for a system that fosters social service and nation-building among students.

Dr. Karan Singh was speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the renovated Radhakrishnan Bhavan at Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth (Deemed-to-be University), Udaipur. Highlighting the current global scenario, he stated that ensuring ideological, economic, and social independence requires collective progress across all communities and faiths.

First Chancellor of Rajasthan Vidyapeeth
Expressing his honor at being the first Chancellor of Rajasthan Vidyapeeth, Dr. Karan Singh lauded the institution’s contributions to social welfare, rural development, and educational outreach. Chancellor Bhanwarlal Gurjar presided over the event and shared insights into Vidyapeeth’s efforts in grassroots education.

Modern Facilities for Students
Vice-Chancellor Prof. S.S. Sarangdevot highlighted the university’s role in preserving social and cultural values. He remarked that the newly renovated building would offer modern amenities to students and praised Dr. Karan Singh for his visionary leadership in shaping a progressive nation.

The inauguration plaque was unveiled by Dr. Karan Singh, along with VC Prof. Sarangdevot, Chancellor B.L. Gurjar, Peeth Sthavir Kaushal Nagda, Dr. Mahendra Singh Agaria, and Dr. Mohammad Singh.

A Glimpse of History
The Radhakrishnan Hall features life-size portraits of Mewar’s deity Eklingnath, Maharana Pratap, Swami Vivekananda, Rajasthan Vidyapeeth founder Pandit Janardan Rai Nagar, and all Presidents, Prime Ministers, and Lok Sabha Speakers of India, along with former Chancellors and Vice-Chancellors of Vidyapeeth. This historic hall aims to educate students and visitors about the institution’s rich legacy.

The event witnessed the presence of prominent academicians, university officials, and a large number of students. Dr. Harish Chaubisa conducted the program.
