Tribal Recognition in Presidential Address: Rawat

Udaipur: MP Mannalal Rawat, during the discussion on the Presidential Address in Parliament, exposed Congress’s anti-tribal policies. He stated that from 1951 to 1970, in 20 years of Congress rule, the word ‘tribal’ was mentioned only three times in the Presidential Address, whereas in the current government, it was mentioned ten times in a single address.

He highlighted that Congress governments' flawed policies kept colonial laws in practice and adopted a harsh stance towards tribal communities. He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tribal welfare initiatives, including the ₹80,000 crore Dharati Aaba Tribal Development Village Campaign, PM Janman Yojana, Eklavya Residential Schools, and the National Sickle Cell Mission.

Rawat emphasized that due to Modi government’s policies, left-wing extremism is nearing its end, and Naxalism will be completely eradicated by 2026. He declared the BJP as the biggest supporter of tribal communities and Prime Minister Modi as their greatest protector.
