Udaipur, The Udaipur District Congress Committee organized a protest demanding compensation for the families of those killed by a man-eating panther and calling for the capture of the panther. Additionally, the protestors urged the suspension of land acquisition for the proposed Tiger Reserve Project. The protest took place in front of the District Magistrate's office and included Congress leaders and hundreds of workers.
The Congress members expressed their outrage over the panther attacks in the rural areas of Gogunda and Jhadol constituencies, which have resulted in the deaths of nine people in recent weeks. The protest was fueled by a perceived lack of action by the administration in capturing the panther and providing compensation to the victims' families.

- **Lal Singh Jhala** urged the administration not to test the patience of the people. He expressed concerns over the state government’s negligence, accusing it of failing to protect its citizens from the threat of man-eating panthers.
- **Dr. Mangilal Garasia** criticized the administration's ineffective measures and accused it of prioritizing photo-ops instead of taking concrete actions to capture the panther and ensure the safety of villagers.
- **Tara Chand Meena** remarked that the "Parchi Government" has lost its sensitivity towards the people, and demanded that immediate compensation be provided to the victims' families, including a permanent job for one member from each family.
- **Kachru Lal Chaudhary** emphasized that the "Parchi Government" is entirely ineffective and warned that failure to act would lead to further protests by the Congress party.
The protest included a formal memorandum submitted to the government, requesting ₹51 lakh compensation for the families of the deceased and permanent employment for one family member.
