The Indian Railways has significantly improved the New Vande Bharat train to make it even more passenger-friendly and equipped with better facilities, ensuring passengers have a new travel experience. Notable improvements in the new Vande Bharat train include comfortable seating arrangements, interior decor, enhanced toilet facilities, improvements in facilities for differently-abled individuals, upgrades to the AC system for better climate control, improved lighting arrangements, and enhanced security measures.
Passengers on the new Vande Bharat train will experience greater comfort while sitting, as the seat recline angle has increased and the cushions have been softer. The seat colors have also been changed to a pleasing blue shade. Mobile charging points under the seats have been made more accessible to make charging devices easier. Additionally, several enhancements have been made in the toilet facilities, including increasing the depth of washbasins and adding extra handles for ease of use. The light capacity in the toilet has been increased from 1.5 watts to 2.5 watts, and better water taps have been provided for controlling the flow of water.
For the convenience of differently-abled passengers, there are provisions for placing a wheelchair near their designated seats. Security has been further strengthened in the new Vande Bharat train. For emergencies, easy access to the hammer and changes in the design of the hammer box have been implemented. The assembly of firefighting equipment in the coach has been made transparent for better visibility, ensuring ease of use in emergencies.
In this Vande Bharat train, several improvements have been made for better air conditioning with insulation, better roller blind fabric for reduced visibility, a uniform color scheme in the driver's desk for better aesthetics, an emergency stop push button in the driver control panel for identifying the location of fires inside the coach, and better aerosol-based fire suppression system for detecting fires. For areas where there is a greater elevation, high-rise pantographs have been provided.
