The budget focuses on infrastructure development and the social upliftment of all classes. Udaipur, renowned for its tourism, has received special attention in the state budget for its infrastructural development. Several significant road strengthening projects have been announced, and DPRs (Detailed Project Reports) for many major projects are to be prepared. The Public Works Department (PWD), UDA (Udaipur Development Authority), and municipal bodies have accelerated efforts to materialize these announcements.

**Approvals Issued, Tenders to be Invited Soon:**

Under the state budget, an allocation of ₹18.75 crore has been announced for the 14.50-kilometer road from Gogunda-Ganeshji ka Guda-Modi-Chhipala-Maruwas-Tula. Garg also mentioned the ₹30 crore announcement for the road and bridge construction from Kyari to Saikla, a bridge on Sirval River, and the road from Shivdia to Pamparamal. The forecast estimate for this work has been prepared and sent to the Chief Engineer in Jaipur. The tender process will begin upon receiving administrative and financial approval.

Garg further stated that the budget includes the preparation of DPRs for converting the 50-kilometer road from Kotda to Devla into a 4-lane road and for the 35-kilometer road from Mavli Udaipur to Nathdwara via Gudli. The document preparation for these DPRs is ongoing, with letters sent to the Chief Engineer in Jaipur for administrative and financial approvals of ₹150 lakh and ₹100 lakh, respectively. Upon approval, tenders for appointing consultants for DPR preparation will be issued. The tender process will also start immediately upon receiving approval for the Chhani-Jhajhri road. Additionally, 139 repair works for roads and bridges damaged by Cyclone Biparjoy, heavy rains, and other causes have been proposed in the budget. Preparations have been made, and tenders will be invited upon approval.

**Urban Area to Get Relief from Traffic Issues:**

The state budget has proposed flyovers and elevated roads to manage the increasing traffic pressure in Udaipur city. A flyover at Paras Tirahe is to be constructed at a cost of ₹36.16 crore, which will help reduce traffic congestion at the junction. An elevated road from Debari Chauraha to Pratapnagar Chauraha, costing ₹125 crore, is also proposed. This road will significantly improve the current traffic situation on the main airport route. Additionally, a DPR for an elevated road from Udaipur City Station to Collector's Residence is being prepared.

Other projects include the widening and strengthening of the road from Sisarma to Nandeshwar at a cost of ₹14 crore, the expansion and strengthening of the road from Bargaon to Kavita on National Highway 76 at a cost of ₹43 crore, and the road extension from Jharav Nursery to Kaldwas at a cost of ₹38 crore. These projects are expected to greatly improve the traffic management in Udaipur city, providing smoother travel options for residents.
