Development of a Prosperous India Requires Collective Efforts

Udaipur,  During the district-level event for the Prime Minister's Housing Scheme and the Chief Minister Employment Festival, held at Sukhadia Rangmanch, Udaipur, Minister of Revenue and Rehabilitation, Shri Hemant Meena, emphasized that the vision of transforming India into a developed nation by 2047 can only be realized through the cooperation of all citizens. He highlighted that the government is committed to comprehensive development, focusing on uplifting marginalized communities and promoting India as a production hub through initiatives like the Self-Reliant India campaign.

Minister Meena was addressing attendees as the chief guest at the event, which also marked the virtual launch of numerous development projects by Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma. He noted that the state government is attentive to the needs of all segments of society, enhancing social security through increased pension schemes and supporting investments to boost employment opportunities under the "Rising Rajasthan" initiative.

The event featured several distinguished guests, including Rajya Sabha MP Shri Chunnilal Garasia, Lok Sabha MP Dr. Mannalal Rawat, Udaipur City MLA Tarachand Jain, Rural MLA Phoolsingh Meena, Vallabhnagar MLA Udaylal Dangi, District Head Mamta Kunwar, and others.

12,980 Beneficiaries Receive First Installment

During the event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually transferred housing approval and first installment funds to 10 lakh beneficiaries across the country. In Udaipur and Salumbar districts, a total of ₹19.47 crore was transferred to 12,980 beneficiaries under the PM Awas Yojana, with each receiving ₹15,000. The district-level program included symbolic presentations of certificates and sweets to selected beneficiaries.

As of now, Udaipur and Salumbar districts have received approvals for a total of 153,104 PM Awas units, with 151,616 completed. This year, the goal is to approve 13,881 units, with 12,980 already sanctioned.

Recognition for Newly Appointed Personnel

The Chief Minister Employment Festival also celebrated the induction of around 400 newly appointed personnel in various departments, including education and healthcare. They were honored with traditional welcome rituals and kits. The Chief Minister also interacted virtually with selected personnel from the state-level ceremony.

Inauguration of Major Development Projects

The Chief Minister announced the virtual inauguration and foundation-laying of several projects worth millions across the state. Notable initiatives in Udaipur district include a 220 kV substation in Menar, various internal road constructions, and the establishment of community health centers.

Launch of Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign

The event also marked the launch of the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign, running from September 17 to October 2, aimed at promoting cleanliness in rural areas. A series of activities are planned, including cleanliness drives, community participation, and awareness events throughout the campaign period.

This initiative reflects the government's commitment to sustainable cleanliness and environmental awareness, fostering a culture of hygiene and health within communities.
