Udaipur Tent Business Committee's Cricket Tournament Continues with Exciting Matches

*Udaipur*: The thrilling matches of the Day-Night Udaipur Tent Cricket League 2024 Season 2, organized by the Udaipur Tent Business Committee, are ongoing at Opera Garden. Every team is giving its best in the race to advance. Kamal Thunder Bolt edged out Tirupati Royal Challengers in a nail-biting contest, while Rajkamal Super Kings defeated Khokhawat Power Hitters in a one-sided match by 71 runs to advance to the next round.

Committee President Sudhir Chawat shared that the award ceremony scheduled for Sunday will feature notable guests including Maharaj Kumar Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, District Collector Arvind Poswal, Deputy Mayor Paras Singhvi, and special guests Amit Kumar and Hemendra Talesara from D.S. Group Ahmedabad, along with Anita Chawat and Varun Murdia from Arihant Arts Udaipur and C.K. Motors.

General Secretary Sunil Hingad and Kamlesh Pokharna announced that during a colorful ceremony, Amit Kumar and Hemendra Talesara from D.S. Group unveiled the trophies. The event also featured lively performances by Ishwar Sangeet Creators Group, and the ground was packed with cheering crowds.

Treasurer Mahendra Jain and Sports Minister Deepak Khabya noted that the event began with a ceremonial lamp lighting. They also shared that if any spectator catches a six-hit ball outside the boundary during the matches, they will be awarded a prize.

Tournament organizers Siddharth Chawat, Gaurav Sharma, and Prateek Singhal reported that in the first match, Kamal Thunder Bolt defeated Tirupati Royal Challengers in a tight contest. Rahul Sharma was named the Player of the Match for his outstanding all-round performance. Kamal Thunder Bolt, batting first, scored 97 runs in their allotted 8 overs, with contributions of 37 runs by Naveen Nath and 22 by Sonu Sen. In response, Tirupati Royal Challengers managed to score only 82 runs, with Akshat Sukhwal contributing 40 runs. Rahul’s all-around performance earned him the Player of the Match title.

In the second match, Rajkamal Super Kings defeated Khokhawat Power Hitters by 71 runs in a one-sided encounter. Rajkamal Super Kings batted first, scoring an impressive 113 runs in 8 overs, with Gaurav Sharma contributing 35 runs, Gajraj Singh Rajawat 33, and Arbaz Pathan 30. In reply, Khokhawat Power Hitters were all out for just 42 runs. Rajkamal Super Kings’ Gajraj Singh Rajawat delivered a stellar bowling performance, taking 4 wickets for just 4 runs, earning him the Player of the Match title.

Playing for the first time, Gajraj Singh made a memorable impact by hitting a six on his very first ball and taking a wicket with his first ball while bowling, creating a unique record. Despite intermittent rain showers, Kamaljeet Singh, Anil Vaid, Praful Mehta, Rajkumar Jain, Bhupendra Jain, Mahesh Prajapat, and Ramesh Mali from the tent business community worked hard to ensure that the matches continued uninterrupted.
