Dense Plantation Drive Under ‘Hariyalo Rajasthan’ in Udaipur
Under the flagship ‘Hariyalo Rajasthan’ initiative of the Rajasthan Government, Udaipur district will witness an extensive plantation campaign. A preparatory meeting was held at the Collectorate under the chairmanship of the ADM following directions from the District Collector.
Deputy Conservator of Forests Mukesh Saini shared that departmental targets have been allotted for the upcoming monsoon season. Targets include: 10 lakh plants by the Education Department, 4 lakh under MGNREGA, 1 lakh by the Mining Department, 50,000 each by the Water Resources and Municipality departments. Distribution by private nurseries in Udaipur was also discussed for inclusion in the data collection.

Eco-Tourism Promotion Discussed in District Meeting
To boost eco-tourism in Udaipur, a meeting was held under the guidance of the District Collector. Deputy Director of Tourism Shikha Saxena requested the Forest Department to share high-quality images and detailed descriptions of all eco-tourism sites. Proposals for new rural eco-tourism sites under the Forest Rights Act (FRA) were also encouraged to improve visitor facilities. The meeting was attended by officials from departments including Municipal Corporation Commissioner Ramprakash and DCF Mukesh Saini.

Night Chaupal Held in Nandvel by Mawli SDM
To address public grievances, SDM Rameshchandra Sirvi conducted a night chaupal at Gram Panchayat Nandvel. Complaints were received on revenue, electricity, water, education, and veterinary services. The SDM instructed officials for prompt resolution and urged residents to stay aware and benefit from government welfare schemes.

Field Inspections and Directives for Quick Redressal
The SDM inspected Nandvel Panchayat and surrounding villages. During the inspection, villagers raised issues like a year-long delay in cable installation for a tubewell, water leakage from pipelines, and non-functional handpumps. Expressing dissatisfaction, the SDM directed immediate redressal. Residents also demanded land allocation for a playground and highlighted road issues in Naharmagra village and water problems in Devli and local schools. The Assistant Engineer of PHED was instructed to resolve these issues and submit a report.
