Udaipur, Under the guidance of District Collector Arvind Poswal, a District Health Committee meeting was held on Tuesday at the Zila Parishad auditorium, chaired by Zila Parishad CEO Hemendra Nagar and Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) Dr. Shankar Bamaniya. The meeting focused on the progress of various health department schemes.
Zila Parishad CEO Hemendra Nagar discussed the timely implementation of all medical schemes and emphasized that targets set by the state government must be achieved on schedule. He instructed the medical officers to launch cleanliness and sanitation campaigns at their institutions in observance of World Toilet Day, which will run from November 19 to December 10.
During the meeting, Dr. Bamaniya urged the officials to eliminate the backlog of Sickle Cell Anemia cases and expedite the process of creating AABHA IDs. He also stressed the need for organizing Ayushman Arogya Melas and health fairs at Community Health Centers (CHCs) every Wednesday.
Deputy CMHO Dr. Ankit Jain reported that Udaipur is lagging in the NCD (Non-Communicable Disease) rankings due to delays in online reporting. He mentioned that only 40% of people above 30 years of age have been registered under NCD and instructed the ASHAs and ANMs to ensure timely portal entry. He further directed the medical in-charges to monitor and improve the process.
Additional Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Ragini Agarwal called for the elimination of pending e-KYC registrations for the Ayushman Bharat cards and instructed that all distribution tasks be completed on time. Reviewing maternal and child health, RCHO Dr. Ashok Aditya reported that ANC (Antenatal Care) registration has reached only 89% of the annual target, with 68% completed in the first quarter. He emphasized the need to increase this figure and ensure that mothers receive the required vouchers and undergo sonography within a month. He also suggested using the 104 emergency vehicle when necessary.
The meeting was attended by Deputy CMHO Dr. GM Syed, Dr. Ankit Jain, and health officers from various blocks of the district, including CMHOs, RCHOs, DPC DDDW, SMO WHO, DPM, DNO, DAM, BCMO, BPM, and CHC in-charges from across the district.
