The meeting of the Mahatma Gandhi Life Vision Committee was held in the District Council Hall on Thursday, discussing the upcoming programs of the Peace and Non-Violence Campaigns to be held on August 25 in Banswara and August 26 in Udaipur. The meeting was chaired by the District Coordinator, Pankaj Kumar Sharma. After lighting a lamp and offering a garland before a portrait of Mahatma Gandhi, Pankaj Kumar Sharma informed that a conference would be organized in Banswara on August 25 and a large seminar involving representatives from all wards of Udaipur would be held on August 26. These events will focus on promoting the teachings of Gandhi and discussing various societal issues. The identified problems will be highlighted during these events.
He also mentioned that committee chairpersons have been appointed for all 70 wards. With their assistance, outreach efforts will be made to connect with the beneficiaries of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot's welfare schemes, and information about Gandhi's teachings and the identified issues will be distributed through pamphlets. Pankaj Kumar Sharma stated that the environment of harmony, cooperation, and collaboration fostered by the establishment of the Mahatma Gandhi Life Vision Committee in 2007 by the Chief Minister will be preserved and maintained.
The ideals of Mahatma Gandhi's vision and the state's welfare initiatives will be brought to the grassroots level, reaching every village and ward. For this purpose, committee members will engage with the general public and create an inclusive atmosphere by involving scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, other backward classes, minorities, and women at the ward level in the establishment of Gandhi Vision Committees.
