Jaipur, The second evening of the three-day 'Sur and Taal Mahotsav,' organized at Jawahar Kala Kendra in collaboration with the West Zone Cultural Centre, North Zone Cultural Centre, and Delphic Council of Rajasthan, was dedicated to the classical singing of Saurabh Vashisth and a captivating Odissi dance performance.

The morning session featured renowned photographer Shirish Karale, who guided students through the intricacies of photography. The workshop covered essential skills like product photography, lighting techniques, and portrait photography.

In the evening, at Rangayan Auditorium, young classical singer Saurabh Vashisth, a disciple of Pandit Kundanmal Sharma, delivered an enchanting performance. He performed the raag Hansadhwani with a slow-paced composition "Vighna Haran Gaj Vandan Gajanan" and a fast-paced piece "Lagi Lagan Sakhi Pati San." His presentation masterfully combined ragadari, alaap, and taan, captivating the audience. Saurabh was accompanied by Ajay Kumar on the tanpura, Malhar Mukherjee on the tabla, and Gajendra Dangi on the harmonium.

The second performance of the evening was an enthralling Odissi dance by renowned young dancer Krishnendu Shah and his group. They performed a Mangalacharan dedicated to Lord Ganesha, followed by a beautiful depiction of the bond between Krishna and his devotees in raag Jhijhoti. Srishti Pandey, Shivika Mathur, Ketaki Mundra, Rudrakshi Chaturvedi, Sithu, and Bholakshika joined Krishnendu, adding grace and energy to the mesmerizing performance, leaving the audience spellbound.
