### Writers Should Create Literature that Inspires Nationalism - Dr. Rawat

– Dr. Mannalal Rawat, MP of Udaipur Lok Sabha constituency, emphasized that in the current scenario, it is essential for writers to create literature that inspires nationalism. He urged writers to establish the foundation of nation-building through such literary creations.

Dr. Rawat was addressing the inaugural ceremony of the two-day All India Poetry Conclave 2024 and National Symposium at the guest house of Mohanlal Sukhadia University, jointly organized by the University’s Hindi Department, Sahitya Vikas Parishad Ahmedabad, and Akhil Bharatiya Sahitya Parishad, Chittor Prant. 

He called on writers to focus on themes relevant to the nation, time, and local conditions, ensuring their work is based on the idea of "nation first." Dr. Rawat also assured full support to empower and encourage writers and artists, highlighting the rich cultural heritage of Mewar, Vagad, and Kanthal regions.

Ravindra Shrimali, former chairman of UIT and social worker, presided over the event, describing the conclave as a manifestation of ideological reflection inspired by nationalism. He appreciated the organizers for their efforts. As the special guest, Shraddha Murdia, head of Kashti Foundation, stressed the importance of supporting art and literature in the Mewar region, sharing insights about the foundation's initiatives.

Akhil Bharatiya Sahitya Parishad Chittor Prant president Vishnu Sharma Harihar, Anushka Academy secretary Rajeev Surana, and vice president Ravindra Upadhyay also addressed the gathering, lauding the event.

**Honor for Writers and Artists:**

Ekarth Purohit was honored with the Sangeet Gaurav Award for his contributions to music and social media. Visually impaired Harion Madan Gopal Menaria received a cash award of ₹11,000 for his work in school development. Sculptor Hemant Joshi, artist Dr. Chitrasen, and others were also honored by the chief guest.

**Poetry Performances by Poets from 8 States:**

The first day of the conclave saw poetry recitations by poets from eight states, with captivating sessions throughout the day. Poets like Man Kumar from Ahmedabad, Kapil Paliwal from Udaipur, Haribahadur ‘Harsh’ from Uttar Pradesh, Dr. Sangeeta Paul from Gandhidham, and Kumar Nitesh from Bhopal presented their works. The afternoon session featured poets Dinesh 'Anil' from Ujjain, Narendra Singh Aawa from Ahmedabad, Sunil Shaurya from Chitrakoot, Kamal Rathore from Shivpuri, and Avrendra Awasthi. The concluding session saw presentations by Lakshmichand Thakur from Balaghat, Krishna Kumar ‘Sarl’ from Nagda, Kailash Soni 'Sarthak,' and others. 

**Heritage Walk and Food Trail:**

On the second day, a Heritage Walk with Food Trail, led by Chinmay Dixit, will take place from 6 AM to 8 AM. The first session of the day will focus on 'National Consciousness in Indian Literature,' with Ravindra Upadhyay, vice president of Akhil Bharatiya Sahitya Parishad, presiding, and social worker Himmat Singh Chauhan as the chief guest. 

The symposium will continue with discussions on 'Social Media, Literature, Art, and Nationalism' in the second session, featuring Dr. Neetu Parihar, Dr. Neeta Trivedi, and Dr. Naveen Nandwana.
