### Udbhrant is One of the Great Poets of Our Time: Kishan Dadhich*

Udaipur - "When poetry becomes an expression of life, it truly becomes timeless. Udbhrant’s poetry reflects various aspects of life, making him one of the great poets of our time. He experiments with both content and form, leaving a profound impact," said Kishan Dadhich, former member of the Rajasthan Sahitya Akademi and noted lyricist. He expressed these views at the launch of poet and author Ramakant Udbhrant’s poetry collection *"Yahi Toh Zindagi Hai,"* during an event in Udaipur.

Highlighting the importance of economy in words, Dadhich remarked that the misuse of words is also a form of indulgence. Senior poet Dr. Sadashiv Shrotriya added that good poetry demands to be read repeatedly, with its deeper meanings unfolding over time. He expressed concern over the declining number of readers for quality poetry.

Special guest Dr. Manju Chaturvedi, while remembering her late father Nand Chaturvedi, spoke about the contexts that give poetry its true significance. Referring to Udbhrant’s poems about the relationships between parents, she remarked that portraying such deep bonds is what makes a poet truly great. She also shared her thoughts on the purpose of writing poetry.

Director of Rana Punja College, Nandkishore Sharma, provided information on the various projects of the Gandhi Manav Kalyan Samiti and welcomed the guests and participants. The event was moderated by Ashok Jain Manthan, former president of Yugdharma. Udbhrant read several of his poems from the collection, including *"Mata,"* *"Swapna Mein Pita,"* and *"Nawalgarh."* Himmat Seth, founder of Samata Samvad Manch, presented the concluding remarks and offered thanks to all attendees.

The event was attended by distinguished personalities, including Prof. Vimal Sharma, Prof. Hemendra Chandalia, Jaspal Singh Makkar, Shailendra Laddha, Himanshi, Sunil Tank, Ismail Ali Durga, as well as several prominent writers, journalists, and intellectuals from the city.
