Under the All-India Coordinated Research Project on Women in Agriculture by Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, a one-day training program was organized for women of Shree Anna Gaon Kherad, Jhadol. The training focused on skill enhancement through millet-based products and value-added products of gooseberry (amla).
Unit Coordinator Dr. Vishakha Bansal emphasized that the skills acquired in this training would enable women to incorporate millet-based products into their daily diets, making them self-reliant. She also highlighted the nutritional benefits of millets, explaining that they fulfill the body's mineral requirements and are especially beneficial for pregnant women and infants.
Dr. Hemu Rathod provided practical knowledge to women about labor-saving tools such as ergonomic seats and seed planters. Additionally, Kusum Sharma taught participants how to prepare various millet and gooseberry value-added products, with assistance from Anushka Tiwari. Around 20–22 women participated in this enriching training program.
