Prof. Amarika Singh Presides Over Indian Soft Hockey League Logo and Jersey Launch Ceremony

Jaipur, Under the chairmanship of NIMS University Pro-Chancellor, Prof. Amarika Singh, the launch ceremony for the Indian Soft Hockey League's logo, mascot, and jerseys was held at Jai Club, Jaipur. The event was graced by Chief Guest Sandeep Singh Chauhan, Inspector General of Police (IG Police), Jaipur, and esteemed guest Padma Shri Ram Singh Shekhawat, an Olympian and Arjuna Awardee, whose presence elevated the ceremony's prestige.

During the event organized by the Amateur Soft Hockey Federation of India, Sandeep Singh Chauhan was appointed as the Chairman of the Indian Soft Hockey League 2024. Prof. Amerika Singh assured that NIMS University would provide all possible support for the successful organization of the league.

Special guests at the ceremony included international athlete and Olympian Gopal Saini, retired IAS officer Virendra Singh Bankawat, Additional Superintendent of Police Pushpendra Singh Rathore, Enforcement Director JDA Jaipur Ashok Saini, Lions Club Jaipur President Piyush Soni, and Rotary Club Jaipur President Anil Jain.

The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome and felicitations by the Senior Vice President of the Amateur Soft Hockey Federation of India, Gajendra Singh Rathore, and Secretary Ramesh Singh, who honored the guests with garlands, scarves, and traditional Rajasthani safaas.

The Indian Soft Hockey League is scheduled to be held from November 7 to 10 at the Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium in Jaipur, featuring eight men's teams and four women's teams.

During his address, Prof. Amarika Singh extended his best wishes for the successful conduct of the Indian Soft Hockey League and reiterated NIMS University's commitment to providing every possible assistance.

Special guest Dr. Kuldeep Singh Jhala, Secretary of the Sports Board at NIMS University, expressed confidence in helping the Amateur Soft Hockey Federation of India secure recognition from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and integrate soft hockey into university sports.
