Udaipur, – Dr. Virendra Goyal, Head of the Department of Medicine at Pacific Medical College & Hospital, was honored with the National Distinguished Teacher Award 2024 for his exceptional and pioneering contributions in the field of clinical teaching. The award was presented at the 9th annual conference of IM ACP India 2024, organized by the American College of Physicians India Chapter, held in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
Dr. Goyal was recognized for his relentless dedication, development of innovative teaching methods, and setting new standards in medical education. The award was presented by Dr. Elisa Choi, ACP Ambassador and Chair of the Board of Governors, and Dr. Anuj Maheshwari, Governor of ACP India Chapter. Dr. Maheshwari remarked that Dr. Goyal's work has not only enhanced student education but has also provided new direction and standards for the entire academic community.
During the event, Dr. Goyal also presented his research paper, which received widespread acclaim. His lecture focused on the importance of reducing common salt in the diet to prevent heart disease and blood pressure issues.
On receiving the National Distinguished Teacher Award 2024 for clinical teaching, Dr. Goyal was congratulated by PMCH Chairman Rahul Agrawal, Executive Director Aman Agrawal, Principal Dr. M.M. Mangal, and CEO Sharad Kothari.
