### PMCH Celebrates World Mental Health Week

During World Mental Health Week, organized by the Psychiatry Department and Clinical Psychology Department of Pacific Medical College & Hospital (PMCH) under Pacific Medical University, several events took place to raise awareness about mental health. Participants who excelled in various competitions were honored with certificates and trophies.

Throughout the week, activities such as role-plays, essays, poster-making, health talks, and street plays were conducted, focusing on mental health awareness. The event witnessed the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Pacific University's President Dr. M.M. Mangal, Pro-President Dr. Sangeeta Chauhan, Dr. Neeta Sahi, Dr. Ritu Bhatnagar, Clinical Psychologist Dr. Deepak Kumar Salvi, and Dean of Tirupati College of Nursing, Dr. K.C. Yadav.

Professor and Head of the Psychiatry Department, Dr. S.C. Mehta, emphasized that the objective of World Mental Health Week was to raise awareness about mental health and encourage open conversations regarding related challenges. Considering the rising stress in modern life, the program highlighted the importance of recognizing mental health issues and seeking timely assistance.

During the week, students from the Psychiatry and Clinical Psychology departments conducted various programs to educate the public on mental health awareness.
