Pacific University Hosts an Inspiring Day of Competitions at PESIFEST

The second day of the highly anticipated PESIFEST at Pacific University was a vibrant showcase of student creativity, quick thinking, and scientific perspective. The competitions held that day, including solo song performances, extempore speech, essay writing, rangoli making, and science & engineering exhibitions, provided students with a platform to display their unique talents. Participants impressed the audience with their performances, offering a deep glimpse into their thought processes, artistry, and knowledge.

The day began with the solo song competition, where participants captivated the audience with their melodious voices and understanding of music. Songs performed in various styles filled the venue with music. Some students displayed their skills in Indian classical ragas, while others sang Bollywood and contemporary songs in their voices, winning hearts with their melodies and emotions. The judges selected the best performer based on pitch, rhythm, and emotional expression, making the event a boost of positive energy for everyone.

Next came the extempore speech competition, where students had to speak on various social, cultural, and contemporary topics without prior preparation. They presented their thoughts effectively in a short span of time, impressing the judges and audience with their ability to think and express spontaneously. This competition not only enhanced their self-confidence but also demonstrated their logical thinking skills.

In the essay writing competition, students wrote on critical topics such as women’s safety, artificial intelligence, social media, and the role of youth in nation-building. The essays, filled with precise facts, references, and arguments, highlighted the students' writing abilities, analytical thinking, and deep understanding of the subjects. The judges evaluated the essays based on clarity, flow, and depth of thought.

The rangoli competition saw students creating beautiful designs using different colors and patterns, blending traditional and contemporary styles. Theme-based rangolis effectively conveyed social messages like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, and nature conservation. The competition not only promoted art but also revealed the students' hidden creativity.

The main attraction of the second day was the science and engineering exhibition, where students presented their projects on topics like alternative energy sources, water purification systems, smart city models, and AI-based robotics. The audience and judges were mesmerized by these innovative projects, showcasing the students' creativity, research capacity, and technological insight. The judges praised their originality and technical understanding.

**Closing Ceremony and Awards**

At the closing ceremony, winners of all competitions were honored, and certificates were presented in recognition of the participants' talents and efforts. Based on overall performance, M.M.P.S School was awarded the prestigious Vijay Shield for excellence.

The chief guest at the closing ceremony, Mr. Himkar Dubey, Co-Founder of Nexithon Global Services, motivated the students to achieve success not only in the arts but also in academic and business fields through cooperation and collaboration. He emphasized that students should avoid shortcuts and work continuously to achieve excellence in their pursuits.
