The woman was admitted to a local government hospital on November 22, 2024, complaining of chest pain. Her condition deteriorated rapidly, and she fell unconscious. Emergency CPR was administered, and she was placed on a ventilator before being shifted to the ICU. Later, her relatives took her to a corporate hospital in Ahmedabad for advanced treatment, where she was diagnosed with pneumonia and acute kidney injury (AKI). Despite undergoing dialysis and a tracheostomy, her condition did not improve. The family then decided to bring her to PMCH for further treatment.
At PMCH, nephrologists Dr. Mohit Naredi, Dr. Dhruvil, Dr. Atul, and Dr. Happy, along with the ICU team—including anesthetists Dr. Tasha Purohit, Dr. Rashmi Arora, and Dr. Ravindra—worked tirelessly on her treatment. ICU team members Moin Khan, Narendra, Dileep, Dinesh, Rakesh, and Zahid also contributed to her recovery.
After nearly two months of intensive care, the woman’s condition began to improve. Her tracheostomy tube was removed two weeks ago, and she was finally discharged today.
Dr. Tasha Purohit stated that the woman demonstrated extraordinary courage and determination, while the team’s relentless efforts and care ensured her recovery. The woman’s family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and the entire hospital team.
