Udaipur: To celebrate the remarkable success of robotic knee surgeries, Paras Health organized a walkathon on Sunday morning at the Fatehsagar Lake promenade with the theme, "Take a Step Towards a Pain-Free Life." Around 250 senior citizens, who had undergone robotic knee surgeries at Paras Health under the guidance of Dr. Ashish Singhal, participated in the event. These individuals are now leading healthy lives without any knee-related pain in their daily activities.
Dr. Ashish Singhal shared that seniors aged 50 and above joined the walkathon, starting at 6:00 AM, with smiles and laughter. During the event, several participants shared their experiences about the positive impact of the robotic surgeries on their health. Many elderly women also participated alongside men.
Dr. Singhal explained that the walkathon was organized to commemorate the success of over 100 knee replacement surgeries. He highlighted that all the patients have recovered well and are living happily without any discomfort in their routine activities. Robotic surgery allows patients to begin walking on the very first day, with complete recovery typically taking four to five weeks.
The Chief Guest, DIG Rajendra Goyal, addressed the gathering, saying that robotic knee surgery has helped seniors regain their youthful mobility, with no more concerns about old age. He praised the participants, noting that these elderly individuals, who recently underwent surgery at Paras Health, are living proof of the transformative power of robotic knee surgery. "Knee replacement means the end of old age," he remarked.
After the brief ceremony, Dr. Abel George, Facility Director at Paras Health Udaipur, and Dr. Ashish Singhal flagged off the walkathon.
