Paras Health Udaipur Organizes Cancer Awareness Event, Honors Survivors & Raises Awareness

Udaipur,  Paras Health Udaipur organized a special event on World Cancer Day to spread awareness and honor cancer survivors. The event saw the participation of 10 cancer survivors, who shared their stories of resilience and hope, inspiring everyone present. The event also included an informative health discussion by Dr. Manoj Mahajan, Director & HOD of Medical Oncology, and Dr. Sachin Jain, Senior Consultant at Paras Health Udaipur.

Dr. Mahajan and Dr. Jain emphasized the importance of early detection, prevention, and accessible cancer care. Dr. Manish Agarwal, Facility Director at Paras Health Udaipur, stated, "Our commitment is to offer the best treatment through advanced technologies and promote early detection. Awareness programs like these play a crucial role in educating and empowering society."

Bridging the Gap in Cancer Care

Cancer remains one of India's biggest health concerns, with cases rising every year. In 2022 alone, an estimated 1.46 million new cancer cases were reported in India, highlighting the urgent need for quality cancer care. The event stressed the significance of awareness, early screening, and lifestyle modifications in reducing the burden of cancer.

The discussion also addressed gaps in cancer care, particularly in rural areas where accessibility to treatment is limited. The recent Union Budget announcement regarding establishing cancer care centers in every district was seen as a significant step forward. Over the next three years, 200 cancer daycare centers are set to be established, bringing new hope to patients across the country.

Dr. Sachin Jain added, "We must work collectively to make cancer care more affordable and accessible. Prevention, early screening, and awareness can save countless lives."

The event concluded with an interactive session where cancer patients, doctors, and dignitaries shared insights on improving cancer care.
