Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur in collaboration with SPIC MACAY organised a Rajasthani Folk Song Concert by renowned artist Bhutte Khan Manganiyar & Group on August 2, 2024. The esteemed artists were welcomed and felicitated by Hon’ble Vice President & Head of Education Vertical, JK Cement Ltd Col. (Dr.) Sanjay Sinha and President Prof. (Dr.) Prithvi Yadav.
They applauded their rich cultural heritage and significant contributions to the Rajasthani folk music, which has profoundly enriched the Indian musical landscape. Bhutte Khan Manganiyar, an internationally acclaimed folk musician from Barmer, Rajasthan, has carried forward a seven-generation legacy of traditional Rajasthani folk music. His collaborations with numerous artists and performances across over 45 countries have earned him global recognition and accolades. The auditorium resonated with the soulful strains of classical and Rajasthani folk songs, showcasing the vibrant heritage of the Manganiyar community.
The powerful performances captivated the audience, leaving them spellbound. The event was a cultural delight enjoyed not only by the SPSU community but also by students from Chiba University of Commerce, Japan, who were participating in a semester
