As part of the best practices at Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur, first-year non-NCC students actively participated in an enriching NCC Boot Camp organized in collaboration with the NCC Group HQ, Udaipur.
The event commenced with a warm welcome from Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Prithvi Yadav and Group Commander Col. Bhaskar Chakravarty, who shared valuable insights into the organizational structure and functioning of the NCC. Each day of the camp began with invigorating morning sessions that included running, physical training (PT), yoga, and hands-on training in tent pitching and weapon handling techniques. Students also attended a series of engaging guest lectures on various topics, such as the Art of Living, the Indian Armed Forces, the incentives available for NCC cadets and received valuable guidance on SSB interviews. In addition to these educational sessions, participants enjoyed various sports activities, including volleyball, basketball, tug-of-war, and athletics, fostering a spirit of competition and camaraderie.
In his closing address, the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Prithvi Yadav motivated the students to uphold justice and serve the nation with dedication and diligence. Throughout the four-day NCC Boot Camp, students greatly benefited from activities designed to cultivate discipline, teamwork, personality development, and leadership skills. The event was expertly led and coordinated by Lt. (Dr.) D. S. Chouhan, Deputy Dean, Student Welfare and Associate NCC Officer, SPSU.
