Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur, in collaboration with SPIC MACAY, organised a captivating Sarangi recital by the internationally acclaimed maestro, Ustad Kamal Sabri, on April 17, 2025. The Hon’ble President and Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Prithvi Yadav, felicitated the maestro and applauded his global contribution to Indian classical music. He is also celebrated for composing scores for international films and theatrical productions, and is recognized worldwide with numerous accolades, including the World Music Artist of the Year 2023 and the New York State Assembly’s Certificate of Merit (2024).

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and residents of the SPSU fraternity. The program was seamlessly coordinated by Lt. (Dr.) D.S. Chouhan, SPIC MACAY Coordinator and Deputy Dean, Student Welfare, and Mr. D.K. Gupta, Coordinator, SPIC MACAY Udaipur Chapter. The evening was a resounding success, leaving the audience inspired and appreciative of India’s classical music traditions.
