“Focus on Your Role in the Global Circus” – Prof. Panigrahi

Organized at Sangam University on National Girl Child Day

To commemorate National Girl Child Day, a one-day workshop on intergenerational relationship promotion was organized by the Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Center at Sangam University. The workshop was supported by the National Institute of Social Defense and the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. The theme of the event was “Pledging to Bridge the Wisdom of the Past with the Promise of the Future.”

The workshop aimed to foster social connections among youth, promote digital detoxing, and emphasize the importance of lifelong digital learning platforms in bridging generational gaps.

The program began with a lamp-lighting ceremony in honor of Goddess Saraswati. Distinguished guests included Vice Chancellor Prof. Karunesh Saxena, Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Manas Ranjan Panigrahi, and Dr. Preeti Mehta.

In his welcome address, Dr. Manoj Kumawat highlighted the impact of increased screen time and the need to strengthen intergenerational relationships.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Karunesh Saxena, in his address, inspired students by saying, “To achieve something significant, one must endure challenges. Government bodies and institutions are ready to teach, but you must have the will to learn.” He encouraged students to always be prepared for learning opportunities.

Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Manas Ranjan Panigrahi emphasized the transformative role of digital learning platforms, which have transcended geographical boundaries and enabled learning anytime, anywhere.

Dr. Anurag Sharma, Head of Training and Placement, advised focusing on the process of action rather than just its outcome and setting self-driven goals.

Participants and students were honored with certificates of appreciation. University students managed the stage coordination and registration process.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Rameshwar Raikwar, who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries and attendees. The workshop witnessed active participation from faculty members, including Dr. Tanuja Singh, Dr. Mukesh Sharma, Dr. Gaurav Saxena, Dr. Sanjay Kumar, and Dr. Kanika Chaudhary.
