###National Workshop on New Criminal Law at Sangam University

Sangam University, known for its commitment to education, hosted a one-day national workshop on new criminal law through its Law School on July 26, 2024. The event commenced with an address by the university's Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Karunesh Saxena, who discussed the importance of the workshop with the students. Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Manas Ranjan Panigrahi encouraged and motivated the students towards study and progress. Registrar Professor Dr. Rajeev Mehta extended his best wishes for the success of the workshop.

The chief guest, Mr. Vishal Bhargava, Additional District Judge and Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, addressed the students about the new criminal law and discussed the importance of these changes in the judicial process. Retired Judge Mr. Shiv Kumar Sharma, the distinguished guest, guided students on the changes in the Indian Civil Protection Code (BNSS) 2023. Advocate Mr. Rishi Tiwari, President of the Bhilwara Bar Association, also discussed the new laws.

The first speaker of the workshop, Dr. Shweta Singh from Symbiosis School of Law, Pune, shared her thoughts on the Indian Civil Protection Code (BNSS). Her lecture provided significant suggestions for innovation and improvement in legal education. The second speaker, Dr. Anu Solanki, Advocate at the Supreme Court, discussed the Indian Justice Code (BNS) and highlighted several key points for reform in the justice system.

Dr. Omprakash Somkunwar and Mr. Gaurav Saxena were the coordinators of this workshop. Dr. Sunakshi Sharma, Avtar Chaube, Shashank Shekhar Singh, Aditya Dadheech, Vartika Mishra, Dr. Govardhan Lal Pandey, Dr. Shrijaya Patil, and Dr. Vishnupriya Dadheech contributed significantly to the success of this workshop. The stage was managed by Deeksha Duggar, and Mr. Gaurav Saxena delivered the vote of thanks at the conclusion of the workshop.
