Bhilwara: A 10-day CATC cum Republic Day Selection Camp (Pre-RDC) began on October 15 at the 5 Raj Independent Company NCC Unit in Shastri Nagar, Bhilwara. Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel S.S. Rathore inaugurated the camp, which will run until October 24.
Lt. Col. Rathore stated that approximately 600 cadets from the Army, Navy, and Air Force NCC wings of the Udaipur Group are participating in this camp. The cadets represent the finest from Ajmer, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Banswara, and Udaipur districts. During the camp, the cadets will undergo various assessments, including best cadet selection, weapon and non-weapon drills, and more. The top-performing cadets will be selected to participate in the next selection camp to be held in Jaipur.
The selection process involves interviews, written exams, and drill tests for the best cadet title. On the first day of the camp, all cadets underwent medical examinations and documentation procedures. Lt. Col. Rathore encouraged the cadets to give their best effort, as some of them will have the honor of representing Rajasthan at the Republic Day Parade in 2025.
Pre-RDC camps have commenced across various states in India, and Udaipur Group's selection camp is being conducted in Bhilwara. Various ANOs, CTOs, and staff members, including Subedar Yashpal Sharma, CHM Sushil, JCOs, and NCOs, are actively contributing to the smooth operation of the camp.
