Udaipur, January 4: A one-day seminar on "Sustainable Development - Concepts, Strategies, Principles, Disasters, and Commissions" was organized by the Department of Zoology under the Faculty of Science at Bhupal Nobles Postgraduate College. The chief speaker, Prof. Alkesh Shah, Vice-Principal and Head of the Department of Zoology at B.P. Science Institute, Navsari, Gujarat, addressed the students. He emphasized the need for sustainable development to balance economic growth, environmental protection, and social equality, highlighting the importance of conserving natural resources for the future. He also shared measures for waste management and water conservation. Department Head Dr. Sangita Rathore presented various sustainability goals. Around 150 students attended and benefited from the seminar. The Dean of the Science Faculty, Dr. Renu Rathore, and Associate Dean Dr. Ritu Tomar honored Prof. Shah with a memento. University Chairperson Col. Prof. Shiv Singh Sarangdevot, Secretary Dr. Mahendra Singh Agarwal, Managing Director Mohabbat Singh Rathore, and Registrar Dr. Niranjan Narayan Singh Khod extended their best wishes, emphasizing the need for such events.
