Udaipur: The 18th meeting of the Governing Board of Bhupal Nobles University was held at the Vidya Pracharini Sabha’s Shiromani Hall under the chairmanship of Prof. (Col.) Shiv Singh Sarangdevot, Chairperson of Bhupal Nobles University. On this occasion, Prof. Sarangdevot stated that the university's goal is to achieve the objectives outlined in the National Education Policy. He emphasized that new courses need to be introduced in line with the current educational needs.
During the meeting, various proposals approved by the 10th Academic Council of the university were ratified. In addition, the decision to expand the Research and Development Cell with the aim of promoting modern research was made. The members present discussed in detail the 10-year roadmap for the educational advancement of the university, focusing on academic improvements, innovations, interdisciplinary collaborations, and efforts to increase global participation.
To further expand the university’s educational initiatives, it was decided to initiate the process of setting up a 125-bed hospital and launching courses in B.Sc. Nursing, GNM, and other paramedical fields. The necessary procedures for starting Ayurveda courses were also agreed upon.
In a bid to increase the admission of international students, the establishment of an International Affairs Cell was proposed, along with the creation of a Community Learning Center for vocational skills development. Additionally, discussions were held on preparing an action plan to achieve the goals of the National Education Policy 2020.
To promote research and research projects at the university, a seed fund of 50 lakh INR has been created to encourage new research and patent filings. The meeting also included invited members such as Prof. Pratap Singh Chauhan, Vice-Chancellor of Govind Guru University, Gujarat and educationist, Dr. Jabbar Singh Solanki, Vice President of Vidya Pracharini Sabha, Dr. Daryav Singh Chundawat, Minister Dr. Mahendra Singh Rathod, Joint Minister Rajendra Singh Jhala, Managing Director of Bhupal Nobles Institute Mohabbat Singh Rathod, University Registrar Dr. Niranjan Narayan Singh Rathod, Dr. Yuvraj Singh Rathod, Mahendra Singh Khod, Dr. Prem Singh Rawalot, and other members.
