Rajasthan Government to Provide One Lakh Rupees in Seven Installments for Girl Empowerment

Banswara | The Rajasthan government has introduced the Lado Incentive Scheme to replace the Chief Minister Rajshri Scheme, aimed at girl empowerment. The new scheme will be managed by the Women and Child Development Department.

Arun Vyas, the head of the government high secondary school in Amrathun village, shared this information during a meeting with nodal officers regarding the launch and action plan of the Lado Incentive Scheme, along with a review of the Chief Minister Rajshri Scheme.

Vyas mentioned that the Rajshri Scheme has been merged into the Lado Incentive Scheme, which will now provide a total of one lakh rupees in seven installments instead of six.

### Key Features of the Lado Incentive Scheme

- The financial assistance has doubled from 50,000 to one lakh rupees.
- The scheme will cover both government schools and privately recognized schools in the state from first to twelfth grade.
- In the Lado scheme, funds will be disbursed upon entering the twelfth grade, whereas previously, funds were given only after passing the twelfth grade under the Rajshri scheme.
- Instead of saving bonds, families will now receive a commitment letter upon the birth of a girl child.

### Inclusivity of the Scheme

A notable feature of the Lado scheme is the removal of the cap on the number of girls in a family who can benefit. All girl children in a family will now receive the benefits, unlike the Rajshri scheme, which limited assistance for further installments to a maximum of two living children.

### Eligibility and Conditions

To receive the complete benefits, all prior installments must be obtained; the next installment will not be released if even one installment is missed. However, the first two installments are mandatory to be eligible for subsequent payments.

### Breakdown of Installments

According to Daya Shankar Charpota, a senior teacher in charge, the following are the details of the installments:

1. **At Birth**: 2,500 rupees upon the birth of a girl child in government or accredited private hospitals.
2. **At One Year**: 2,500 rupees after completing all vaccinations by the age of one.
3. **First Grade Admission**: 4,000 rupees upon entering first grade in government or accredited private schools.
4. **Sixth Grade Admission**: 5,000 rupees upon entering sixth grade.
5. **Tenth Grade Admission**: 11,000 rupees upon entering tenth grade.
6. **Twelfth Grade Admission**: 25,000 rupees upon entering twelfth grade.
7. **Graduation and Age 21**: 50,000 rupees through direct bank transfer upon completing graduation and reaching 21 years of age.

The Chief Minister Rajshri Scheme has been integrated into the Lado Scheme, now offering a total of one lakh rupees, distributed across seven installments instead of six.
